BT is much intimidating one and all of its competitors at the rate at which it is growing and garnering subscribers to its ever growing customer base. The company has gone from strength to strength in recent times, what with giving absolute value for money to its customers. All of the services as provided by BT are seeing newer subscribers signing in.

the latest news here being that the BT hybrid IPTV service 'BT Vision' has seen an additional forty thousand subscribers joining in to enjoy the brilliant service that for once, comes as an entertainment package like no other. This addition has again been for the fourth quarter itself.

The total number touched reads 545,000 customers. For once, this figure has been the best in the past seven quarters. The growth has been in more than one ways even as BT has seen the Average revenue per user (ARPU) also going up to GBP 322 (USD 522) for the period, up GBP 5 over the previous quarter.

This is again for its residential customer base. A major contributor to this growth however has been the newer broadband customers who have joined in.
As many as 188,000 new broadband customers have been added to the list of BT customer base and this figure too is for the three months only, ending December 2010. This by itself represents a 53% share.

These shares are of all DSL and LLU additions. When it comes to the capital expenditure as done by BT Retail, it too has risen by as much as twenty eight percent. The company saw this high percentage being touched in 2010. Then there is of course the fibre optic broadband package that BT has started to offer which is also wooing more and more customers by the day. For once, the total revenue as seen by the company for the fourth quarter of 2010 has been a much impressive GBP 5.038bn.
