People will have easy access to internet using the Wi-Fi technology at the charring cross underground station. This would be courtesy British Telecom which is again offering the innovative underground service as a first of sorts. This would be done through their BT Openzone and the service begins on the first of November 2010. Being a trial service this is to last about six months.
Charring cross sees about 68,000 passenger journeys each day. All these people will enjoy access to internet through the Wi-Fi network. Live service updates will also be made during this trial period and people will be made aware of the transport routes and other transport services.
Courtesy BT Openzone people will enjoy this largest Wi-Fi network in the whole of United Kingdom. This might as well also help in business management for people who are on the move and thus proving even more invaluable.
Boris Johnson' Mayor of London in the mean time is looking at getting WI FI coverage to the whole of London before the 2012 Olympics. This if the trail plan for the next six months works out smooth more and more areas of London will be covered with time.
